SNAP have sufficient fund, says Stanley

Many are in doubt whether the Sarawak National Party (SNAP) have fund to finance its election campaign but the party Secretary General Stanley Jug

ol has assured that all their candidates campaigning expenses will be taken care.
“We have sufficient funding for the coming election and our candidates need not have to worry about that.
“You will be surprise to see SNAP have sufficient fund for the election,” he said in an interview with Star Sarawak.
He said the party will contest not less than 28 seats in the coming election and all are Dayak majority seats.
Stanley said SNAP will also be fielding its candidate in all the six Bidayuh seats – Opar, Tasik Biru, Bengoh, Tarat, Tebedu and Kedup.
“We have a number of qualified Bidayuh as the candidates in all the six seats.
They are young professional people who are capable and we have more or less finalised the list,” he said.
Stanley said various activities will be held in the six Bidayuh constituencies in the run up to the election to make the party’s present in these areas felt.
“After all SNAP is not new in the Bidayuh constituencies. Tasik Biru and Tebakang (now Tebedu), Mas Gading and Serian was held by SNAP before the party break up,” said Stanley.
SNAP representatives in these seats before were the late Datuk Michael Ben (Tebakang), the late Temenggong Rahun Anak Debak (Tebakang), Lee Nyan Choi (Serian), Patrick Anek Uren and Datuk Peter Nansian (Tasik Biru) and Dr Patau Rubis were all from SNAP.
“So it is legitimate for SNAP to contest in the Bidayuh majority seats,” he added.
Stanley was also confident there are still many loyal SNAP members and supporters among the Bidayuh.
